This extra large cutting board is specially designed for large jobs like kneading bread dough, rolling out pizza, working with pastry dough or making pasta! With specially designed edges that act as a lip to hold the board in place against your counter while also providing a backsplash.
Our suggestion is to keep one side smooth for working with dough and use the reverse side as a cutting board. This will help keep the board in pristine condition for many generations!
Finished with several coats of mineral oil before a final coat with a beeswax/mineral oil mixture.
All of our cutting boards are made by hand and exemplify our true love of woodworking. We select the best quality woods either as repurposed hardwood scrap or from locally sourced supplies. We then laminate different woods together in a design that is sure to appeal to everyone. They are then sanded to a silky smooth finish before being sealed and readied for use.
This pastry board measures 24″ x 18″ x 3/4″ with 1 1/2″ edges and weighs about seven pounds. Made with white hard maple, American black walnut and cherry hardwoods.
